Why do you need one you might ask? A wick that is too long will create excess smoke/soot and the excess debris will then collect at the top of the wick (and eventually will fall to pool at the bottom of the wax). Not only does this not look great - it's also not safe. A too long wick can also burn too hot (longer wick, larger flame) which can cause your candle to burn too quickly (shorter life of the candle) and may also affect the fragrance throw of the candle. Keeping your wick trimmed to the recommended length of 1/4-1/2in will prolong the life of your candle + keep it burning clean, enter: WICK TRIMMERS!

wick trimmers work like scissors but because of their ergonomic design, they make getting into the jars much much easier!
1. before each lighting, simply use the wick trimmers to cut your wick to 1/4-1/2in in length.
